If you ever see a mysterious light shining through the forests of the Wye Valley at night, don’t worry – it’s probably just Chloe hunting for mushrooms with her headlamp.
Chloe is a foraging guru. Take a walk with her and her gorgeous little spaniel Samphire, and you’ll soon learn just how many of the plants we walk past every day are edible. She has been running Gourmet Gatherings for 6 years, but has been foraging since she could walk. Whilst primarily based in Monmouthshire, Chloé will travel to forage wherever she is invited, supplying wild ingredients throughout the UK. Nature, food and drink are her greatest loves in life, so being a professional forager allows her to combine these passions.
As well as supplying foraged ingredients to some of the best restaurants and bars in the South West, Gourmet Gatherings also offers a variety of foraging experiences, from foraging courses, to mushroom hunts, to foraging for ingredients to distill into your own gin!
Chloe finds genuine joy in her job every day. When she’s not foraging for work, she’s usually foraging for fun, or cooking up a storm in her kitchen with ingredients she’s picked. After a long day, she likes nothing better than to unwind by the fire, cocktail in hand, Samphire at her side, and plan her next adventure.
